I Am Not My Hair

Image
Pinterest is a great site. I’m on there a lot getting ideas for art projects, recipes, and D.I.Y projects.   I love finding things like recipes for lip balm, or lotion.   A couple of years ago I found a recipe for homemade lotion on Pinterest that I absolutely loved. I keep a batch made at all times. Anyone who knows me, knows that while I’m very much into products, I try to be healthy, and use products that I think are safe. Recently I have been growing my hair out really long. It has always been long, but I am trying to grow it out ridiculously long. I want it to be healthy. I need to lather my hair up every day, and my hair needs to smell good." This rec...

Kindness

The other morning I woke up feeling awful. I was sick with a mild cold, and had just gotten over three days of pain from being a girl. Sorry, guys. If you are reading this…I had terrible cramps. Then he chopped some of the mushrooms, onions, and some Canadian bacon and started to sauté them for me. That’s Love. He al...

Significance

Let's talk about significance. Do you ever feel insignificant? Maybe you don't feel valued by someone you love, or you’re not valued in your job. Have you met those people whose self-worth seems to be tied to something in their lives? Maybe it's a job, a spouse, a role they play at church, or in the community. Are you one of these people? What about those men and women who HAVE to be in a relationship? They can't be single. We've all been in one of these positions, right? I know I've moved in and out of situations like these. Maybe not the needing to be in a relationship, because I was single for a long time, but I wanted to be loved! ;) When I was a kid I was never athletic. I hated P.E. It was torture, especially the tests we had to take every year. My cousins on the other hand were dancers, and cheerleaders. I remember that alone made me feel like such a loser. I was not a sloth. I played outside all the time, rode my bike, and roller-skated...
